In the last few years, BPM as a management discipline and technology has evolved from a departmental experiment with narrow scope to a mission critical enterprise wide transformation enabler. However, a lot of the recent large BPM engagements have not demonstrated the business results promised by BPM software vendors primarily due to the “execution” gap – gap between what the technology can do and the skills needed to make that happen.
